Phewwww. I just need to take a breath because wow was 2018 so much more than I ever imagined. I had so many plans for this year, more weddings than ever on the books and it was my first full year with having photography as my full time, 100% focus! If you know me, I can tend to over plan and spread myself a bit thin, but I think this year I found the sweet spot between balancing running a business and enjoying life day by day. Obviously I had all my weddings, and they went flawlessly, but goodness was there so much more to this year than I could have dreamed of!
where I went:
LINCOLN: Of course I spent a ton of time in Lincoln, I had weddings here in town at golf courses, lakes, gorgeous churches and downtown venues. Lincoln has treated me oh soo well since I arrived and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon, I am booked in Lincoln even more next year and so very grateful to this city for treating me so well! I took the lil drive over to Omaha (actually like a lot..) and had weddings at the players club, amazing event centers, more lakes and even more beautiful churches. (Seriously I go to A LOT of churches) Nebraska has been such a blessing!

COLORADO: Northern Colorado will forever feel like home since I left last fall, and I luckily spent lots of time in Fort Collins, Windsor, and even a lil time in Greeley for weddings and senior sessions! I even got up to Evergreen THREE times! It feels so good to get back home so frequently for work, sometimes it feels like I haven’t left at all! Of course I spent lots and lots of time in Denver and the south metro area with my family and friends and even for 2 weddings right in my neighborhood (#thebubble) sorry Highlands Ranch, you just can’t get rid of me! If you were wondering, even though I live in Lincoln, ya girl can never say no to a weekend at home in Colorado, if you are hoping to book a session with me in 2019 I will be there every few weeks and have lots of time blocked of to spend with my lovely Coloradoans!
IOWA (!?!): Not sure how it happened but I spent a fair amount of time in Iowa!! I had a wedding in Sioux City, just past the Nebraska border but STILL IOWA! it was so fun to go somewhere new and check another state off my wedding bucket list!! (p.s. If you wanna see that list I have it on my website, all weddings in states I have NOT photographed a wedding in before receive 2 free hours of coverage added to their collections sooooooo now is the time to book your big day!
things I did:
I stayed in one place. Lol I know it sounds weird but I didn’t move this year. Same state, same town, same apartment, same boyfriend! Grayson is very good, we had a lovely year living as adults and he is finishing up grad school in May (which could bring some exciting changes, I will keep you updated!) it feels good to have some consistency in life, I know where I am going to be and when! I drove home to Colorado many times, felt like I was living out of my car for a few days at a time during my road trips, but always got to go home to Grayson and puppy Mack and our cute little apartment and it really makes me feel like an adult, which is what I am now (if were being honest I have been an adult since I was 12, the #adulting thing is wayyy past for me)

I am looking forward to 2019 – and so dang excited for the first day of the year!! I AM LAUNCHING MY NEW WEBSITE!! I have been working on this lil guy for months, it’s been a huge process moving platforms, getting help with all the behind the scenes techy stuff and redesigning from scratch… I have a new logo, an entirely new brand, and a fricken gorgeous site all happening on the first day of the new year! If that isn’t the best way to start a year I don’t know what is!
