what a perfect snowy mountain engagement session for these two cuties!
katie + cale met at bandimere speedway.. like what a love story! katie is a fellow photographer, she shoots for bandimere and cales family owns the track and works there. the first time they saw each other (for sake of story, it was probably across the track while smoke and burning rubber blew in the wind between them) it was LOVE. of course, cale was dating someone and it took a few years for the stars to align, but they started dating in 2016 and it’s been bliss ever since!
cale popped the question at the garden of the gods in colorado springs right at sunset while they were taking couples photos of their family. they also run a wedding photography business together, GOALS RIGHT! go follow their work on insta @kandcvisuals) and obviously, katie said YES!
their big day is this october! they are going for the picture perfect fall wedding, so of course we needed to cover the winter wonderland that is colorado to cover all our bases!
so we headed up the mountains in evergreen to twin sisters park for their snowy mountain engagement shoot! katie+cale are so clearly aware of what it’s like to be in front AND behind the camera. they were giggly, excited, and so willing to try new things and get goofy for any shot! the last word to describe these two is awkward, they make everyone around them comfortable and are together the funniest! they started a snowball fight, ran up the red rocks, and (almost.. but temps dropped too quickly!) rolled around in the snow!
it was surprisingly warm for january in colorado, until the most gorgeous sunset (where we froze our toes off). the first few days of 2020 were fantastic and we really couldn’t have gotten luckier for these two! they are perfect pupper parents to sweet mila! she joined us for their shoot and honestly i couldn’t get enough, she’s the sweetest!!
there is really nothing better than a snowy mountain engagement shoot in evergreen colorado and i am both incredibly excited and honored to photograph these two. there is something so rewarding about photographing another photographer (let alone TWO at once!) and i couldn’t be more happy to be a part of this incredible couples love story! i had swete markie along with me for their engagement and we will be shooting their wedding together, it’s SO wonderful to work along side her through their whole wedding process!
thank you both for sharing this wonderful afternoon with me, so so SO excited for your wedding day this fall!
